Bearingless Motors vs. Magnetic Bearings

Advantages of using a bearingless motor

It is expected to be used as a drive device for the following environments and conditions
  • Bearing lubrication and maintenance is time-consuming
  • Lubricants are not available (e.g., at very low temperatures, in vacuum, in liquids, etc.)
  • Staining from lubricants can be a problem
  • Rocking motion can easily damage the bearings
  • There is a need for shortening the length of the rotation axis.
